Jak I've been thinking about this a bit.
On one hand I'd be surprised if the likes of Total would join the JV for less than 50% and be operator, I firmly believe the farm down will be smaller than previously mooted though now given the CR appetite.
On the other hand , FAR which I still hold some unfortunately, farmed down to Petronas, Malaysian NOC worth about 144 billion USD, as equal partners yet they allowed FAR to operate a well offshore The Gambia.
I think someone posted here a while ago they couldn't see a major oil co letting IVZ operate but it can happen.
Scott in the last webinar said it " will " be exciting to be operator......so will it be a super major or mid tier or something else entirely?
At one point I wanted a mid tier+ partner but now I keep thinking they should wait for the seismic to be done, see what that throws up and then decide to farm down or go it alone, only problem is those performance rights evaporate end of June, 9 short weeks away.
I am more uncertain today on who, what, when and where than I was prior to the CR.
I still wish I had been gifted some at 11c with a freebie attached......!
