@ jakspara.....This strategy is basically scare mongering – enables accumulation of cheaper shares - weaker hands will panic and sell. This will become more prevalent leading up to the announcement on (potentially) Monday.
When they do this, the message I get is, we are onto a good thing, so hold tight!.
