Next Investors have continued the promotion because they still hold shares and options and have an interest in the project.
According to their email on 03-DEC-2022 "We hold 4,029,602 shares 1,217,101 options in IVZ"

If there were sinister motives i would have expected to see directors offloading shares onto retail prior to ann of a duster (as was the case in SGC/XST). In this case this hasn't happened. There's also the Zim pension / super funds invested (but i think they're well in the money already) (MANGWANA OPPORTUNITIES (PRIVATE) LIMITED)
Scott in particular holds over 70million shares, so if this is a duster he has already decided to go down with the ship and keep his reputation intact. Because if he cared about the money (or didnt care about his reputation) he would have already started offloading. Maybe hes genuinely confident in the project. Other director also still holding

Although in 2 separate accounts. Originally held 15,823,045 shares. Now 10,823,045 + 6,850,000 = 17,673,045

As for the NI email
@Schnuffles thought meant that it means there's no material news next week - i have read it and interperetted it differently. From what i understand, they made an email talking about various stocks and the updates they had released this week. And then mentioned the stocks that didnt receive any updates this week (IVZ being one of them) - they didnt imply that IVZ isnt going to release news next week - as they wouldn't know. Its impossible for them to know material information before the market (against the law).
