china are in bed with Russia, I don't think they have issues with gas supply. from an investment perspective I think it would be a good move by them but I think their intention in Africa is to own the supply chain of required materials for the next 200 years. I personally hope local investment takes over this company long term to fix the supply issues in the country and empower the region. if that requires Chinese investment I'm all for it. would hate to see this nation robbed of its resources.
