Let's not forget the trusty old SP log which can be used along with Rmf data to derive an Rw value for the purposes of a first run log interpretation in the absence of a water sample or accurate regional data. It's one reason I made a point of being an*l about the accuracy of wireline log header data. Nothing worse than going to a log header and finding the tool head thermometer readings haven't been recorded for each run.

The SP log is usually a free add on to charged services and most of the current generation of Geologists seem to have forgotten that it exists.
