I've seen a few company men get a bit nervous and lose their bottle but generally everyone just gets on and does their job and the expectation is that the tools will be recovered. The problems only come when you do stupid stuff like rotate your drill string while youre doing a strip over wireline fishing job....and part your cable. A pile of cable sitting on top of a tool makes fishing for the tool a lot more difficult.
