It depends on your investment/gambling strategy. Are you after potentially high short term returns with high associated risk....or do you want a low risk plodder blue chip stock that has a static share price but pays a nice fully franked dividend?
I think most of us in here with more than a few brain cells realize that IVZ is a high risk stock...like any small oiler drilling first wells in a frontier basin.
Look at the variation is Strikes share price during drilling of their Jaws project. Swings in share price were still large right up to and through West Erregulla-2. West Erregulla was a slow well with a number of issues (eg wireline logging of the 6-1/2" hole) but subsequent wells were drilled a lot faster and successfully logged using learnings from WE-2.
