Sure, that makes sense. I can only speak for how data was managed in government. Companies do have their own schemes. I can attest to it being pretty complex data to manage, particlarly workovers, extensions, multiple rigs etc from a ton of companies doing their own thing. We had to keep track of all of the data associated with each rig activity.
