Once you accept that a lot of the buy side is Algo BS as well as the sell side is Algo BS for pip trading purposes easier it is to let go of manipulation theories. Thing is if they cracked down on these pip trading algo's then there will be no liquidity in the market and you'll all be complaining that the spreads are too great to actually buy or sell. Look at a stock like NZO where the register is held by 1 entity with 70% and no chance for algos to have a day trade play and that is what the stock price and trading would look like daily.
