The difference is all those you quote have access to power Zimbabwe doesn't.
Whilst I agree the gov have been shocking there are plenty of places where the gov are shocking that are doing way better than Zimbabwe.
Farming sector, which is largely annual crops, can turn production on its head with cheap nitrogen fertiliser IF only Sable, the countries biggest supplier, had cheap reliable power, to produce the fertilizer required.
