Easier yes. But not much effort to do it the other way and potential deferral of tax if you plan to hold the remainder for some time could be significant. I guess my point was there is no need to have a second account if its just for the CGT purposes. But yeah, if you are trading a stock, I can see how a second (and very low brokerage) account would have benefits.
