Until we declared a discovery with MK2 we have been and will remain with the PEDA for the purposes of exploration. Now that we have a commercially viable Well (MK2), it is now that we require the PPSA. It is obvious that there has been a great amount of discussions with the government in regards to the PPSA prior MK2 discovery, but with the changes of government and officials within the departments concerned there has been no firm agreement and that the government have had no need to have a PPSA in place until the discovery of MK2.
There has been a lot of discussions about moving forward and drilling another well whilst we wait for the PPSA, but if the government does not sign off the document then any money we spend on the ground would drilling and bringing any well to production would be lost as the government could turn around and cancel any agreement with IVZ and give the rights to another company.
We all know that Zim is in dire need of gas and Eureka Mine wants gas ASAP and that the Gas to Power project is dependant on us to get the gas out of the ground, and the Zim industry will be breathing down the necks of the government to get the PPSA put to bed ASAP.
But for those that have had dealings within upper levels of government will understand it takes a huge amount of time to get things from point A to point Z.
With bureaucracy it is today, Rome was built quicker than what things are done in this day and age.
