Thanks Oldgeo, very much appreciate it. Maybe my brain isn't working but I still don't understand how the below makes sense in that context. If you're saying that resistivity and gamma ray cannot determine if only residual, then why is the lesson learnt that they should have run resisitivity and gamma ray to determine if residual oil only and not moveable?
LESSON LEARNED - The company could have run the gamma ray, resistivity MWD tool while the drilling rig was on location, to drill and log the Lower O Sand. If the MWD tool had been run, this would have shown that the strong mud log oil and gas shows in the Lower O sand were in response to residual oil only and not moveable oil.
