I understand what you are saying now. I wish they hadn't called TD and finished the extension too but understand they had no other choice. I think they were very worried that they may have run into well stability issues, even not been able to run the liner (crossing fingers the liner is going fine right now) , making it impossible to flow test without another sidetrack, and running out of money.
They don't have the resources of the majors and they are in a remote site in Africa, drilling unknown formation. Maybe they should have raised more cash earlier but so be it.
I think they have done well. The geology is making sense. They have a technical discovery in an unexplored basin, and are on the way to testing and proving a commercial discovery. Tight reservoirs would have been a disaster. But we have net pay, which likely grow, a good chance of declaring a condensate discovery and a pathway to flow testing and investment. Sure, the flow testing might fail but there are good indications it won't. We can only wait and see.
