Zimbabwe don’t have an oil and gas industry, we are it, so this is completely new to them. This means the PSA was drafted from the ground up, has passed through endless departments, has been compared with and consulted on by neighbouring countries with already established industry. The department to head this has been established, again, from the ground up.

Invictus has had a watertight contract in place from day one, one that is covered by international law. Scott is very proud of his Zimbabwean heritage, he initiated the concept of a PSA to the government. It will be on par with international standards and is a very generous and thoughtful gesture from our MD, he is a man of integrity and clearly wants our project to benefit all. Invictus’s community engagement programs are testament to this.

Anyone who has spent time in a developing country knows how these departments operate, they thrive on beuracracy and red tape, everyone needs to be involved.
