Have been watching the traffic over the last few months and researched in depth the history and public information available. Conclusion from my perspective.
Incredible innovation to come out of Australia and full marks to the Australian Government for contributing a $2million grant toward commercialisation which is now happening.
Also full marks to the TSWG of the USA government for their support and funds to enable aspects of the concept to be proven to their satisfaction in 2011/12.
The iWG innovations are really three in number. Their combination makes the ramifications potentially very significant.
My interpretation they are 1) The injection of intelligent networks to interface all interactions both for security and to act as applications /processes when appropriate.
( goodbye exposed end points inside trusted networks and devices).
    2) The evolution of a new form of connection VPN which allows lower cost , simplification and significant increases in network and user security.
    3) A type of "integration container" which seems to be designed to reduce application and technology inconsistency for users and at the same time give organizations major increases in reliability and validity of their security measures. As well as installation and deployment attractions for a business.
I suspect this third product will have far reaching significance and look forward to learning more.
Reliable prospects of revenue are a key tipping point .
The recent iWG/Telstra development bodes well and indicate innovations are seen as important to Australia's largest ISP , this significance is on balance likely to be replicated with other major ISP's elsewhere in the world.
Can't wait to learn more about the product and see the use cases as they take place. To see an Australian company develop the prospect of a such noticeable , improved difference in world wide network level technology is a real testament to the calibre of science and IT professions we have here in Australia.
Can't wait to see this Aussie ingenuity spread globally.
