Yesterday, the International Energy Agency (IEA) launched a new report on sustainable and Responsible Critical Minerals Supply Chains. We endorse the key recommendations of the report, and we agree that critical-mineral supply chains can not be truly secure, reliable, and resilient unless they are also sustainable and responsible. Adopting sustainable and responsible practices bolsters the security of supply; governments and companies alike have a role to play in driving improvements against environmental, social, and governance standards.

REIA will soon be launching its science-based sustainability standard for the rare-earth value chain. We try to align our efforts with exiting ESG standards and work closely with ISO/TC 298 Working Groups. Rather than being a sustainability preacher, we are responsibly and ethically engaging with REE stakeholders globally to ensure that they adhere to international rules and regulations.
REIA has just concluded aninterim meeting of its general assembly (IGM). We thank our members for their active participation in the meeting. The Association continues to grow with representation from the upstream and downstream of the whole value chain. The General Assembly also approved the admission of seven new organisations to the Association. Welcome to the REIA family CoTec Holdings, Entellus Industries, Lindian Resources, Mongolian National Rare Earth Corp, Orano, REEgen, and SEONG-AN We look forward to working with them and our other members towards a sustainable and transparent rare-earth value chain.
