More than Peak, No Mining = No Recoveries ......ZilchSuccessfully demonstrated process? The recovery rates from processing IAC at Penco were somewhere in between dismal and disastrous. We are not sure if it was the resource, the process or both.
To date, we've successfully processed over 63 tons of ionic clays, yielding more than 40 kilos of clean rare earths through a closed-loop system that leaves no footprint of radioactivity or liquid waste.
IAC is not a walk in the park
According to Aclara’s resource estimate:
“TREY” means 14 lanthanides (REE) plus yttrium (Y), 1,992 pm or 0.1992% as rare earth elements;
27,500,000 tons of resource as per above resource estimate multiplied by 0.1992% TREY results in 54,780 t of total REE content;
The TREY recovery rate as per above resource estimate is 22.82%., which means estimated 12,500 t of total REE recovery over life of mine. Too little;
Above 63,000 kg resource only yielding 40 kgs of ‘clean rare earth’ even suggests a recovery rate of only 6%;
At 6% recovery rate the life of mine output of Aclara’s Penco would be 3,300 t of REE, being less than the quarterly output of Lynas.
