Hi Tony, Interesting development re: J&J plans for satellite offices for its deal-making crews including an office in Australia. Its interesting to note;
1. The offices will facilitate the search for next-generation technology. Phylogica, in the April 10 announcement, described how "[they had] caught the attention of companies wanting to access our next-generation peptide drug discovery capabilities". 2. J&Js venture arm is active. Again, in the April 10 announcement, its noted that "[Phylogica have] also also stimulated interest from a number of pharmaceutical corporate venture divisions".
The reference to next generation is common usage in the industry. Nonetheless, the ducks do appear to be lining up particularly now that the CEO and CFO are using Peptidream as a peer comparison for valuation purposes.
