If the long term flow rate for J50 comes in at 220 bopd I would be disappointed and surprised. The offset well in the block next door produces at 400 bopd. Porosity of these carbonate reservoirs in the Mangystau basin is quite low at circa 9% (hence the lower flow rates) but that should also ensure longevity and lower depletion rates. The radius of productivity for nearby wells is approx 400m. J50 is located approx 400m from Akkar North's closest producer so with low porosity and a 400m spacing, there is no reason to suggest J50 will not flow at a rate comparable to those nearby wells.
An acid wash will also unclog the pores to the wellbore (caked with mud and drilling fluids) and open up the natural fractures thereby increasing flow to the well bore. With the wellbore still "dirty" from the 3 months drill, it really is a solid result to see J50 flowing light crude unassisted to surface at 220 bopd.
