while it was true that in my early years it was custom to vote the same as ones parents. where I come from its Labor heartland. yet I dared to vote against Whitlam in 75 and against Hawke in 83. after that I went to the Dems till they crumbled in factional fights.

everywhere has the same problem and I dare say people in my hometown are probably no different from when I las visited.
