Spend a minute thinking about this. Machetes are tools - farmers use them to hack away at undergrowth. It's not machetes that harm people, it's violent criminals. So by setting up these bins, she's expecting violent criminals to hand in their weapons.
Yeh - she didn't think it through.
After a few months they will employ a consultant to drive around and collect the empty bins. It will cost taxpyers a few hundred grand.
Why must we tolerate people like this in politics?
