Private media organisations carry insurance to cover litigation.
I don't know, but imagine, the taxpayer indemnifies the ABC.
It may be time this was changed, by legislation, to require the ABC
to pay for insurance in the private sector, from their annual budget.
The legislation would need to make it clear that the taxpayer has
no liability.
If they can't get insurance, they can't broadcast. A level playing
field. (Insert manic laughter here).
