Doesn't mean l don't think it was a dumb idea to take on the games in the first place .
l have already commented how that has penalised the state financially. That's bad and l'm not happy about it.
However . Here we have a government who part way into a project was responsible enough to stand up and say " this thing has gotten away from us so we're shutting it down before it gets worse."
They had the guts to do that and wear the consequences . You don't see that very often.
l'm hoping that sets an example for all politicians that they need to be more careful with taxpayers money . To not just listen to the yes men and the lobbyists .
lt's about time more politicians became accountable for taxpayers money .
