Above an article from Harvard Kennedy School in 2014 indicated that coal reserve would last 34 years to 2049 at its annual production of 3.2 billion tonnes. CCP's 14th Five-Year Plan's annual coal consumption is about 4.1 billion. So roughly it will last 24 years at rate of 4.2 BT starting from 2014. The past 7 years rates are about 3.2-3.9 BT, so it may be longer than 24 years, but within 30 years. Perhaps that's why CCP promised reach carbon neutrality in 2060.

Paper dragon ? looks like! Even now, cutting off power supply has happened. By the way, China every year consumes more than half of coal in the world to provide power to economy. Besides coal, China has to import chips and oil. Most advanced techs are in the Democratic countries' hand. Don't be scared by the paper dragon.
