I hope the USA will spend less on defence but spend more on infrastructure. It is crumbling. I hope the politics will be less partisan and more concerned for the needs of the people. Water is an existential need. I hope that the USA will change the way they do things. It is insanity to expect different results when things are done the same way. I hope they will move away from centralised waste water systems with heavy reliance on capital spending on pipes. This is the time to leapfrog old technology and embrace the new Nirobox and DEWAT, like what China and Cambodia is doing. I hope they realised their folly, their resistance to change, and not blame competition from the world.
Perhaps, all this is too much to hope for. Can a tiger ever change its stripes?
