I think traditional dealerships will struggle in that time anyways, as I don't think there is that much mark up in new cars. And they probably earn their keeps by extorting us in the service dept. And I would think they would actively not sell an EV option unless they had no choice.
So with bugger all to service on an EV and low margins on the sale, stealerships will go the way of the public phone box when mobiles became widespread, and demo centres in shopping centres will probably be the go.
I think traditional dealerships will struggle in that time...
