some pumped up nutter thinks these guys will face jail? the govt were given a presentation and did not nor could they act on the information. Were any funds at that presentation? did they act on that info?This has probably been standard practice since it listed. Why do they all of a sudden have a problem?... politics... this looks like its the govt's way of telling the board of telstra to pull its head in. ASIC is a govt agency afterall. I think the govt would like to see the CEO of telstra take a walk and this is a polite way of telling them to back off. How would you like to have the govt as a major shareholder? The govt is probably quility of having a conflict of interest if anything. just a thought.
