You are wrong. If that profit was a lot greater or a lot smaller than expected then an early announcement would be needed by the rules.
Telstra execs had info which would have changed the share price and it did change the shre price once it was released.
Continuous disclosure rules state that stuff like that has to be disclosed immediately and it wasnt.
Telstra were never going to disclose that info until forced to do it.
They were in the wrong I believe and there ought to be a penalty for that.
