The market is fickle and I wonder if this is impacting EVN share price in some way.



Jake Klein, who previously built Evolution Mining and is now on the 2025 Rich Bosses list, is embarking on a new venture. After stepping down as executive chairman of Evolution Mining, he is now focusing on building another company with private backing. Klein, known for his passion for building businesses, will remain a non-executive chairman and investor in Evolution Mining.

While Evolution Mining was a public company, this new endeavor will be private, supported by a select group of investors.


Google tells me AustralianSuper-backed Federation Mining is planning an initial public offering (IPO) on the ASX, with the IPO expected in the latter half of the 2025 calendar year. AustralianSuper owns 90% of Federation Mining.

Federation Mining is an Australian incorporated company established by experienced Australian underground mining engineers Mark Le Messurier and Jim Askew with the purpose of building a new gold/copper mining company.

Federation Mining Pty Ltd: Jake Klein is Executive Chair. Whereas, on 1 July 2025 Jake moved from Executive to Non-Executive Chair at EVN.


Its cornerstone gold project is the Snowy River Mine Project on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand.

Subject to the results of the Feasibility Study and funding, first gold production from the Snowy River Mine could occur by mid 2026.

Note: Federation Mining pursued the acquisition of Siren Gold Limited (ASX: SNG), but the deal was not completed.
