I don't want to put him on the spot; he is probably a nice guy. However, you would expect a new CEO taking over the leadership of a company that has lost 50% of its value since its IPO to have a new vision and show some signs of proactivity and leadership (and just waiting for the assays from old projects does not represent a new vision and proactivity to me).
