GZ, any wife would support her husband in a situation like this, so you can't blame her.
Even though I am not an AFL person, I have always admired and respected Hird. I know most will disagree with me (and you).
He definitely deserved to be sacked for his role in all of this because it happened on his watch, even if it wasn't intentional doping.
He is guilty of trying to adopt modern scientific methods to assist his players, especially in recovery. Unfortunately, Hird didn't do his due diligence on the bloke he hired in Dank. And he put too much trust in him. For that reason he is now paying the price. However, I think this public campaign against him is grossly unfair and clearly there have been lies told.
Obviously his wife is a strong intelligent woman and is doing what any wife would do. However, the timing of the interview was quite poor, you would have to agree.
