As so many posters have said before (and it's worth saying again), Labor managed to establish such an entrenched welfare mentality in only 6 years that it's now impossible to make any reasonable changes to welfare without committing political suicide. The Libs are also partly to blame with that absurd baby bonus. Aaaargh.
