What I find particularly intriguing is the fact that the technology is already proven to work i.e. Phylogica has "efficiently penetrated cells to deliver [Janssen's] therapeutic cargoes to their targets".

Real progress with the Janseen collaboration most likely started about a year or so ago. Remember this passage from the 2012 Annual Report...
Phylogica have made eight new Phylomer libraries and is constructing additional libraries for the Janssen deal.
Will Janssen be first over the line in being successful with this new technology? Certainly a strong possibility. If so, exisiting Pharma will be lining up like everyone else. Yes, exisiting Pharma will want it, but the question is, will they be too late to the table?

• Janssen: Phylogica believes it remains on-track to deliver on the project milestones required to trigger a commercial licence and/or milestone payment from Janssen in early 2014. Negotiations to determine the commercial terms are currently ongoing.
