Agree nimbin , it is the same outcome but 200 years apart . This is now the modern world and Indonesia's actions in West Papua are a disgrace - but tell me nimbin what has been done about ? Absolutely nothing and you will not read of it anywhere .

I will question your accusation that i lack respect for our first inhabitants . I respect and encourage any aboriginal that rises above their situation and becomes educated and successful within their community . I would encourage more to become educators , nurses , policemen / women , builders etc

This could happen if they get over the past . All the assistance in the world is there waiting for them and all they need do is make the first step .
