josimar - you are, of course, quite correct. Thanks for picking that up. I went through that post and all the figures about 5 times before posting it, clearly should have done at least 6!!

Therefore, please ignore those 2 lines about heads on issue - they are wrong.

They should read:

At 31 April 2012, there were 242.4m heads on issue. Top 40 owned 43.12% of them (or 104.5m).

At 31 January 2013, there are 263.15m heads on issue (8.5% increase). Top 40 own 47.6% of them (or 125.3m). That's still the highest I've seen I've been tracking these.
