If you are a vegetarian, that is a fair and reasonable comment - many people have ethical issues about killing and eating animals.
If you are not a vegetarian, then your comment is rank hypocrisy. It is pure cultural imperialism to tell the Japanese they can not eat whale, whilst we go around eating as much beef, pork, crocodile, emu, chicken, duck, veal, barramundi, lobsters and lamb as we can get our hands on.
