An idea I suppose, or a distraction, but surely once again (as they are in Oz.) they would be at the mercy of the Japanese construction engineering firms who will supply out of China or Thailand and instal.
Strong AUD not assisting this export process, nor the lack of working capital at NOD. Bank wont like export and currency risk in a rising aussie environment.
Not the answer I'd be expecting of management.
[1] Sell the donger fleet before it needs major R & M
[2] Cleanse the business of residual issues, including closing, reconstructing or selling 'me too' business divisions
[3] Business divisions worth keeping need to become strategic and not bulk (ie why not make kitchens rather than dongers)
[4] Merge what's left or stay as a cray pot stock at the micro cap end
Too many dogs not enough stars in the business portfolio.
