For me nuclear power is a mid term solution for a transition from fossil fuel to clean non polluting energy.

That's all.

The sooner we get nuclear reactors off this planet the better but weighed with this is global warming.

If these events in Japan delay this transition then that delay can be measured in tons of co2.

We know the evils of nuclear energy but we have no idea exactly what the real consequences of global warming will be.

The timing of this sad disaster is, unfortunately for the transition debate, highly inappropriate.
