Nuclear winter has always been based on a massive total US and Soviet nuclear exchange. And that would cause several nuclear winters. IT is not destroying China with maybe a hundred accurate warheads....nor would it be from China cooking its own citizens living near launch pads, or the crews of Chinese subs. There may be a very small number of warheads impacting on the US. Assume half or less actually explode. About the quality level of the average Chinese power tool. Not a nuclear winter....maybe an autumn.
But no more China. And that is good news for the world.
