on another note, an interesting comment to come out of Professor Garnaut at the Press Club in Canberra today in response to a question re the La Trobe Valley coal electricity generators.

At the forefront of his view is to transition away from coal and build and operate gas fired electricity generators & also that those currently working in the La Trobe valley would not lose their jobs but be retrained in Gas.

I assume he meant "eventually" and hope against hope that Coldry is a good interim solution.

For the record I am still amused at the number of linked articles here which somehow point to ESI assuming the roll of "golden balls" i.e. in the right space, in the right place, at the right time... I would actually agree if we had much time (i.e. money) left - we don't.

I still hold/look to accumulate on short term punt factor only. feels close....
