ELMAU, Germany -- Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Tuesday that his government will use nuclear reactors to the extent possible to supply electricity as a scorching heat wave strains Japan's power grid.
With most of the country's workhorse nuclear reactors offline, "we will work steadily to speed up reviews" needed to restart them, Kishida told reporters following the Group of Seven summit in Germany.
