Don't forget that town gas and bottled LPG are different gases. It's not as simple as switching over to a bottle.
I'd like to see CFU also looking into fuel cells that run off methanol. Methanol has the advantage of being a liquid, so it can be stored and transported a lot more easily, in much the same way as gasoline or diesel. A methanol fuel cell with a store of methanol on site would make an ideal backup or off-grid system.
I think there is a manufacturer in Germany producing methanol fuel cells for motorhomes and the like.
