    I don't see a problem with a limited return to commercial whaling if whale numbers have returned to sustainable levels.
    I don't know the situation regarding the recovery in the numbers of whales an whether commercial whaling would be sustainable again, I guess it is probably somewhere between the environmentalists claims and what the japanese claim. I do think it is a little bit rude to try and ban people who have a deep history of hunting and eating particular animals from doing this at least on a limited basis if it is indeed sustainable. Same with the dog issue in places like south korea although the treatment of these animals when they are killed leaves alot to be desired.
