People tend to forget that history goes back further than current times - last 200 years or so, and that history will repeat and good lord, what happens if there is such a disaster that the effects flow as far as Australia and effect my children or yours.
How confident will we be with nuclear energy then?? Support in nuclear fuels is borne from a desire to move away from fossil fuels in the absence of any great, apparent alternative.
Let's hope this doesn't get any worst than a localised issue, for those poor people who are about to pay the price, potentially, for "cheap, clean energy"
