So on average, sounds like you're no better nor worse off or at least not by huge margins. Some go up some down. Sometimes just by holding longer and enjoying a cuppa (or whatever), there's a lot less stress.
Buy/sell timing is an artform mastered consistently by only a few - though using the term 'mastered' in a very loose sense.
Nevertheless any profit is good profit even as tax may be payable (unless offsetting prior losses in which case losses reduce).
