When people say "they"; people are referring to large insto holders looking to accumulate decent positions
Not the company themselves.
For example, it would not surprise me if there is a large seller at 18.5c on screen, who is scaring people to sell at 18c & is buying them all...
I.e. making the sell side appear much stronger than it is, so they can buy as many as people will offer at 18c.
If you notice, 18c gets eaten every time its on the offer.
