I get that most of us do want more Australian presence and sales. Doubt this is off the cards. I also get why management is focusing on China as the sales there are guaranteed with demand growing every month. Australian sales will need a lot more marketing and JAT doesn't exactly have money to blow to accomplish that. So yes on a business decision its smart in short term to go where u can move product quickly but I do hope more Australian awareness happens in near future. (Could be why they did the Sydney university study)
