Javier Milei, the new President of Argentina stated

“The West is in danger” and the danger comes from leaders who are “co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism and thereby to poverty”.

He also said that “climate activism leads to poverty”.

“I am here to tell you that collectivist experiments are never the solutions to the problems that afflict the citizens of the world. Rather, they are the root cause” …

“If you attack private property, the only possible fate is poverty” … “The State is not the solution. The State is the problem itself.” …

Milei challenged socialism which Argentina has experimented with for almost 100 years by saying, “It should never be forgotten that socialism is always and everywhere an impoverishing phenomenon that has failed in all countries where it’s been tried out.”

    ........

except China where socialism has lifted hundred of millions out of poverty and created the biggest, most successful economy the world has ever seen (probably why our 'popular' scholars have to demonise and revise its history so much).

So the thing is... the State is only thing can protect you from oligarchy. And its what has protected your forbears and ancestors in the past, to varying degrees.

None of us would last a year in the libertarian, free market place you think you want to get to. You would be impoverished, destroyed, your wealth taken and probably killed without the protection of State laws and regulations.

Attacking oligarchical private property is not the same thing as attacking your or my private property. This lumping in of their interests with your interests when it suits them is done often. Its not the same. They live off your collective effort.

People hate Schwab (rightly) because he promotes an elitist technocratic future, a master-slave society. That's not real socialism. Its the Imperial Socialism of the Fabian Society, which funnily enough leads to exactly the same place as far right or fascism.... an oligarchical overclass managing the slave class with a government/corporation tag team.

And that's because imperial socialism and fascism they come from the same place, oligarchy. its their creation; heads they win, tails you lose. And you think its a binary choice of system.

Milei is being disingenuous. He's attacking imperial socialism with popular hard right (soft fascism) and taking people to the same place.
