Australian public sector employment percentages went from 12.5% in 2014 to 17.9% currently.
That is neither a good or a bad thing necessarily...... particularly against the backdrop of an aging population and immigration being used to mask what would otherwise have been a major recession.
The raw numbers hide the actual issues and drivers. The poison is not public sector employment but rather a lack of insight and commitment to private sector innovation and growth by all political parties at all layers of government.
Chainsaws won't fix it and aren't needed because we aren't dead broke with hyperinflation yet.
